How do bees make beeswax – The glands of worker bees convert the sugar contents of honey into wax, which oozes through the bee’s small pores to produce tiny flakes of wax on their abdomens. Workers chew these pieces of wax until they become soft and moldable, and then add the chewed wax to the honeycomb construction.

Spring Mountain Honey is a family business, producing raw honey, without using chemicals, only taking from the bees when all cells are capped, producing good quality, thick and tasty honey, leaving enough honey for the bees. We do not sugar feed. We do not feed man made pollen to them and infact do not feed them anything as we let the bees do that – We choose locations which is adequate for the bees to do this themselves.
